My first set of glass ornaments

At the end of last Christmas I picked up some glass ornaments on clearance at Michaels and this week I was experimenting with them.

On the red ornament I used some alcohol ink to colour the glass and then used rubons and filled with fake snow.

The other ornaments I used some clear stamps and Staz On inks and stamped directly on the glass. I filled them with fake snow, curly ribbon and paper curls. I'm probably going to add some type of ribbon and maybe a tag to the top of the ornaments.

My first Bella!

I went to the Creative Festival today with a friend of mine and finally decided to buy my first Bella stamp. I've been eyeing these cuties for a while now and I don't think it will be my last. I whipped up this quick card tonight out of some Prima scraps, some Michaels $1.50 stamps and my new Bella. I made her all bling-y with some Stickles. I need a bit more practise with my coloring techniques but not a bad first card I hope?

On the note of the Creative Festival, I also picked up some other stunning stamps that I'll share with you later once I've created with them.

Playing Tourist in Niagara Falls area

Last weekend my Mom and I took a day trip to Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls. I had the chance to play tourist with my camera and got some cool shots. Of course I didn't bring my tripod so only one shot of the falls at night turned out :(

Since I'm too lazy to clean up the shots in Photoshop you get to see them in their "raw" state. As you can tell I was practising my angled shots quite a bit LOL!

Now bring us some Figgy Pudding....

Even though I pre-ordered some of the new Basic Grey Figgy Pudding to ship with my November Scraptivity kit, I couldn't resist buying a few sheets yesterday when I took my mom to my LSS stores while she's visiting. The papers are GORGEOUS (as usual) and the new acrylic stamps are just beautiful too. Here's a few cards I whipped up last night using the new papers and the new stamps that I borrowed off my mom. Scraptivity October Guest Designer projects

Right before vacation I got a really nice surprise when I found out I was selected to be the Guest Designer for the month of October for the Scraptivity monthly kit club!

This month's kit was right up my alley.....We got this super cool "Enveloper" tool which is just awesome. It makes so many cool sizes and shapes of envelopes. All you need to do is cut the paper to a certain size and score using the tool. It also creates some 3D envelopes. The kit also included some sentiment stamps which are great for cards and some really pretty papers from Prima and My Mind's Eye. I think this kit was MADE for me :)!.

So far I've created two layouts and about 5 cards. Here's a few of my favourite creations I made with my kit.

Oh yeah and on Friday I got a request for an altered CD I made for Scrapbook and Cards Today winter issue. I never would have imagined that when I starting submitting this year that I would have had so much success.
