Time for another CHF card!

As you can tell, I'm LOVING the pile of new stamps I ordered from Cornish Heritage Farms!

I created this vintage looking card using the Rummage Bin Time to Stamp stamps with Paper Trunk papers. I added a vintage stick pin from a Creating Keepsakes album kit and some rust ribbon to finish it off. I added some cinnamon Stickles to the brads and the Time stamp to add a bit of shimmer.
I created this card based upon a sketch by Janelle Richmond for the March sketch contest on the Paper Trunk website.

I'm a Turtle Girl!

I have a little bit of an exciting announcement.....I've been selected for the Design Team at the Scrapping Turtle! The Scrapping Turtle is a store located in St. Jacob's, Ontario and they have a great on-line store and community.

Be sure to stop by "Turtle Soup" and say hi. There will lots of fun challenges and chatting over the next several months. I'm looking forward to my term with them.

An ecclectic birthday card

This is a fun card I did by mixing a few different types of stamps. The happy birthday stamp is from the So Happy set from the Rummage Bin Collection by Cornish Heritage Farms. The owl is from the Kim Hughes U R A Hoot set. The cupcakes are from Hero Arts.

The papers are Basic Grey Two Scoops and I added some bling and ribbon.

Hope you like it!

Digging in my scrap bin

This was a quick card that I made using some stuff lying on my desk and a few scraps of some American Crafts paper. The punch outs and stamped images were some left overs from some previous projects that have been sitting on the corner of my desk for a few weeks.

American Crafts Play collection papers
Embossing folders Cuttlebug (Swiss dots and birthday folders)
Hero Arts Cupcake stamps (coloured with Prismacolor pencils)
American Crafts ribbon
Marvy scallop punch

Birthday Wishes Card

Well, my great big package of Cornish Heritage Farms stamps arrived this week and I've already taken them for a test drive!

This card was made using Kim Hughes' Silhouettes II set. I added some flocking to the blossoms on this and a rhinestone center.

The papers are from Basic Grey Two Scoops collection.
You will be seeing LOTS of cards using my new stamps in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned!!

A spring notecard

Here's another card I made with the wonderful April kit from Scrapbooker's Club House. I just bought the Martha Stewart butterfly punch this weekend (thanks to Holly!) and I thought they would make a really nice spring addition to this card. The butterflies are glued down the center so even if you mailed the card the butterflies would still maintain their 3D shape.

I was also thinking that you could stamp a sentiment on the beige polka dot paper if desired.

Paper: Scenic Route Lynden
Ribbon: Doodlebug
Button: Autumn Leaves
Flower: Imaginsce
Butterflies: Martha Stewart punch

Another 6 x 12 layout for my travel album

When I was on vacation in Phoenix last fall I was fortunate to have visited several AMAZING scrapping stores and I picked up a EK Success Maple Lane 6 x 12 album.

At the time I had no idea what to use it for but I decided to create a mini album of all the places I've travelled. I plan on doing one page per place or country that I and or I/DH visited.

This layout I created with the April Scrapbooker's Club House kit. I really liked how well these Scenic Route paper went with this photo from Guatemala. If you haven't tried this size yet you should, it's really fun!!

Papers: Scenic Route Lynden and SR graph paper
Ribbon: Doodlebug
Brads: Dollerama
Felt flowers: Target
Stamp: 7 Gypsies

Make a Wish layout

Here's another layout I created with the Scrapbooker's Club House fabulous April Kit. This layout is a bit more graphic style than I normally do but I like the way it turned out.

You may notice I created my own Making Memory style title box. It was actually quite easy. First I cut a half circle out of the patterned paper and I inked the lines onto it using a Chatterbox Journal Genie. Then I cut a larger circle in white cardstock (I used my Cozzule for both circles) and I trimmed around the outside with decorative scissors. I'm quite pleased at how it turned out.

Papers: Scenic Route Lynden
Letter Stickers: Scenic Route
Candle die cuts: Quickutz
Ribbon: Doodlebug
Stamp: Fontwerks Circle the date stamp
Rhinestone Brad: kit
Other: Chatterbox journal genie, ink

You're a Hoot card (CHF stamps)

Here's a nice bright card I created using some more stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. The tree is from Marieke's Flowers set and the owl and sentiment are from Kim Hughes Pretty Bird set.

I picked some nice bright colours (all American Crafts papers) and used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to add some interest to the bright blue paper. I also sanded off and distressed it a bit.

A Moroccan inspired card

I did this card for the design team call at My Sketch World using this sketch.

After digging through my scraps bin, I came across some Bo Bunny papers and decided to create a Moroccan inspired card. I used scalloped DCWV card base and used some of my new Inque Boutique stamps. To finish off the card I used some QK flourishes and some American Crafts felt flowers and some rhinestones. I'm happy with how this turned out as purple, yellow and red are my three least favourite colours to work with.....a real challenge for me!

Wishing it was summer time!

Well after shovelling over TWO feet of snow from the blizzard we had this weekend this weekend in MARCH of all months, I was feeling a little blue and created this summer inspired card to make me feel warmer :)

The papers and penguin stamps are all from the Imaginisce Shore Thing line. The felt sun is from American Crafts, the foam letters were cut from the QK Sunshine font and I used two different Cuttlebug folders to give dimension. I also added some Stickles for bling.

Hope this puts you in the summer mood too!

March's Sheetload of Cards

Don't forget to stop by Sheetload this month for the chance to win some great prizes! The March newsletter featuring a sketch/pattern by Becky Fleck is also now available for download.

This is one of the cards I did for this month's sketch featuring stamps by GG designs. I coloured the tulips with Prismacolor pencils and Gamesol and added some Stickles for shimmer. I also used some foam tape to make them stick out. Other supplies: Chatterbox papers, American Crafts flowers, buttons, Making Memories mini letters, Dollarstore wood bunny.

Pretty Bird, pretty bird!

Here's a quick card I did using some stamps from Kim Hughes' Pretty Birds set by Cornish Heritage Farms.

The papers are Chatterbox and the ribbon from Michaels dollar bin. I used a corner rounder and a hole punch to create the scalloped border. I added some Stickles to the large bird for some bling. The "you're" are rubons from QK.
Please excuse the weird photo.....the textured cardstock looks a little funny but if you click on the image you can see the card a bit better :)

And now back to our regularly scheduled first hybrid card!

I'd quickly like to thank each and every one of you who sent me messages of support for my last post. It means a lot and thanks!

So now back to the subject of scrapping.

I tried my first hybrid card by printing some digital scrapbooking paper and a digital skull element. I quite like how this turned out and will definitely be "going hybrid" again!

Supplies: Digital paper by Kristi Wiseman . Other stuff: Cherry Arte paper, MME chipboard square, Inque Boutique stamps, Gel a Tins stamps.
