Go Canada!!

Only a few hours to the big USA vs. Canada hockey game, so today I thought I'd share a picture of my little cutie all decked out in her Team Canada dress.  Even though we don't *let* her watch TV, she LOVES catching a glimpse of hockey (must be the bright and fast movement).  GO CANADA!!

Thank You

Phew, two post in one day!  If you haven't heard of Joanne B, you really need to check out her blog (...just a little something....).  I've been stalking reading her blog for a while now and she is one talented lady.  She designs for both Stamping Bella and MFT Stamps (and more!!) and she's celebrating her third Blogaversary.

This is the card I made for her first challenge which was to create a project using paper piecing.  I used my Pure Innocence Apple for You set to create this Thank You card.  I just pulled out my Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg pad and thought it would be perfect with the apple image.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Supplies:
Stamp:  Pure Innocence Apple for  You from My Favorite Things stamps
Ink:  Versafine Sepia
Papers:  Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg
Accessories:  Nestabilities die, Offray Ribbon, Copic Markers

Namaste friends!

I'm busy working on samples for next month's releases at Cornish Heritage Farms but in the mean time I do have a few cards left to share that I have created in the last little while.

Here are two cards I created using the yoga themed "Serenity Now" set from My Favorite Things.  These headless women stamps were the reason I was attracted to MFT stamps in the first place.  On the first card I paper pieced the image.

Supplies:
Ink:  Memento
Paper:  Georgia Pacific Cardstock, Amy Butler papers by K and Co
Accessories:   Copic Markers

For this second card there was a challenge a while back to do a card without colouring the image.  I took the image and went with my current favourite kraft and white theme.  I really like the way this card turned out and you can easily whip it up in minutes since you don't have any colouring to do!!

Supplies:
Stamp: Serenity Now set from My Favorite Things, large Polka Dot backgrounder by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink: Joann Essentials white ink, Versamark (for embossing)
Paper: The Paper Company
Accessories: White embossing powder, Fiskars border punch

Happy Monday!!

Bellarific Friday colour challenge and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge on the Stamping Bella blog was to create a card using this colour palette:

As soon as I saw it, I immediately thought of the new American Crafts Letterbox paper that I had lying near my scrap area.  The paper with the diamonds is actually peachy and not pink like the photo shows (my stellar late day photography in action LOL!)  This is the card I created.  I decided to go with a birthday theme since yesterday was my Mom's birthday!!  Happy Birthday Mom!!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Cuppacakeabella from Stamping Bella, Sentiment from Billboardabella from Stamping Bella
Papers:   American Crafts Letterbox, Georgia Pacific cardstock
Accessories:  Copic markers, Prima flowers, Fiskars edge punch, Offray ribbon, pins

I'm puzzled!

Today at Cornish Heritage Farms a new Scrapblock is available for sale and it's SOOOOO cool and uber trendy.  Crossword puzzle motif papers are popping up everywhere and now all you need is this stamp to create your own custom backgrounds and puzzles.  In case you forgot the Scrapblocks are 6" x 6" sheets of rubbery goodness so you can use them for BIG cards and of course scrapbook pages.

Here are two cards I created with this stamp.  On the first card I stamped some little hearts in the puzzle squares and on the second I used rub ons to spell my own words.  Lots of fun possibilites with this one!!

Be sure to stop by the CHF Scrapblocks gallery to check out all the other designer's creations.

All of the stamps are from Cornish Heritage Farms.  Thank you, Thank you very much (said in my best Elvis voice).

I used my new "Merry Kissmas" stamp from MFT Stamps and paper pieced the image using Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper.  It's a bit hard to see in the photo but  the white background is embossed with my snowflake Cuttlebug folder.  I added a touch of glitter with some Stickles around the outside of the card and the snow.

The Bellarific LOVE ME DO blog hop and jump (your chance to win too!!)

Welcome to the LOVE ME DO Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to find the complete list of participants.

For my loved themed card I used the fabulous Pheobe Ketto and paired her up with some Basic Grey paper.  I used a bit of a non-traditional browish colour palette for this card but the pink in the papers adds that little touch of love.  For the sentiment I used some rub ons from Making Memories and that fabulous rose coloured velvet trim is by Maya Road (thanks Lesley!!).  Do you see the colour on the metal heart?  I added that with my Copics!  Now all those "old" metal embellishments can have some new life in my stash!!

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Friday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Kerry's blog:  http://www.cardsbykerry.blogspot.com/

Card supply list:
Stamp:  Pheobe Ketto by Stamping Bella
Ink:  Memento
Papers:  Georgia Pacific cardstock and Basic Grey
Accessories:   Copic markers, Stickles, Maya Road rose trim, brown velvet trim and metal heart from Dollerama, Making Memories rub ons

Will you bee mine?

Well, not really a bee but "Will you butterfly mine" doesn't sound as cute LOL!!  This is a quick card I created using some scraps of Scenic Route paper (I swear I only have a few left!!) and a Huggabug stamp from Stamping Bella

I was practising my shadowing technique on this card using three colours of grey Copic markers.  Since I did it on the patterned paper the blending was as idea as using white cardstock but I do like the effect.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a Stamping Bella blog hop...rumour has it there will be some prizes too!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Flutterby Huggabug from Stamping Bella
Ink: Memento
Papers: Scenic Route, Georgia Pacific
Accessories: Copic markers, Fiskars border punch

Need a quick Valentine's Day project?

This is a cute little 3 x 3 box that you could use to give a small gift to your sweeties, fill it with candies or even fill with some mini cards to give away.  You can find all the easy to follow instructions/template on the Splitcoaststampers site.

For my box I used some Scenic Route papers and matching cardstock.  (This line from Scenic Route was one of my favourite loved themed paper lines.  Too bad I'm only down to a few scraps.)

I created a multilayered tag for my box using Spellbinders Nestabilites dies and a digital stamp.  You could use any love themed stamp you have on hand or even just a nice piece of love themed paper.

Supplies:
Stamps: Verve digital freebie stamp (sorry but it's no longer available but Verve stamps do have some cute Valentine's stamps on their web site)
Papers: Scenic Route and Bazzil cardstock
Accessories: Ribbon, spellbinders dies, Copic markers, Stickles

Vintage baby card (CPS #153)

Here's the card I created for this week's CPS sketch (CPS #153).  The baby stamp set is called "Baby Dear" from the Rummage Bin collection at Cornish Heritage Farms

Although the sketch uses a heart in the middle, I'm sick of loved themed cards so I started with the stork image.  The sentiment is stamped onto a part of the patterned paper that I cut out to use as the journal block.  If you look closely you will notice the top portion of the card is embossed.  I used a Quickutz embossing folder in my Cuttlebug.  The QK embossing folders aren't as "deep" in impression as the Cuttlebug but they do have some fun patterns and I like the subtle look.
Supplies:
Stamps: Rummage Bin Baby Dear by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink: Memento
Papers: Georgia Pacific cardstock, Basic Grey
Accessories: Offray ribbon, baby foot charm, Prima flower, button, Nestabilities dies, Fiskars Apron lace punch, Quickutz embossing folder, Copic markers

Sweet Superbowl Sunday!

Well I don't have any Superbowl or football themed scrapbook items to post today but how about some sweets?

This is a card I created using the Cupcake Affair stamp set from Verve stamps.    This is definitely one of my top 3 favourite cupcake stamp sets!  To create the scalloped oval, I punched out a whole bunch of small circles and adhered them around the outside of an oval card base that I cut out using my Coluzzle (YES I do still use it!! I love it for circles and ovals).

Well I'm off to get my chili in the crockpot and getting ready to watch the big game with DH....GO SAINTS!!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Cupcake Affair by Verve
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo black
Paper:  American Crafts Letterbox
Accessories:  Marvy circle punch (for scallop on outside of card), Fiskars punch, Stickles, Copic markers, Coluzzle

It's a sketchy Bellarific Friday

This week's Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday blog challenge was to create a card based on this sketch.  For this week's challenge, I once again dug deep into my bucket of stamps to find another Bella stamp that wasn't even opened yet.  This stamp is called Loveybella.

I decided to go with a Shabby Chic blinged out look.  For all you Canadian ladies, they have some 6x6 sheets of bling swirls and designs at Dollerama these days.  Not bad for a buck!!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Loveybella by Stamping Bella, Kim Hughes' Tag You're It by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:  Memento Black
Papers:  Georgia Pacific cardstock, Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey
Accessories:  Bling and flower from Dollerama, Nestabilities die, heart brad

Quick and easy baby thank you cards

I needed a few more thank you cards for some baby gifts so I made this set of cards on the weekend in less than 15 minutes.  The key to mass producing cards is to do everything in stages.  For example for these cards first I cut all the scalloped parts using my Spellbinders dies and the card bases etc.  Then I stamped and cut out all of the elephants and then finally assembled all of the cards.

You could also make a bunch of similar cards without sentiments stamped on them and then just add the sentiment when you need a quick card!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Kim Hughes Zooper Fun by Cornish Heritage Farms, Kim Hughes Tag You're It by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink:  Memento
Papers:  Bazzill cardstock, Georgia Pacific cardstock, Basic Grey papers, Making Memories papers
Accessories:  Copic markers, Spellbinders Nestabilites dies

I had I know this is the second post for today but I have to share this cute photo of my daughter that we staged took last week.  Look how proficient she is with the mouse already---she'll be blogging in no time :)

Can you tell I'm a scrapper?  Always on the lookout for some photo staging opportunity LOL!
