When life gives you wrinkles.....CHF Week #3 Summer Fling

Welcome to week #3 of the Cornish Heritage Farms Summer Fling.  You should be joining me from Joannes blog.

This week we are featuring stamps from the "All Things Considered" (ATC) collection.  Of course these stamps are a perfect scale for ATC cards but are fantastic on regular cards too.  All stamps in the collection are on sale for 25% off until Thursday!!  Don't forget to start at the CHF Farm Fresh blog and comment along the way for your chance to win some CHF gift certificates.

Here's a card I created using the Domestic Love set.  This vintage inspired set has some wonderful vintage images and lots of pun-y sentiments.  Here I used the iron image with a sentiment about wrinkles---how perfect!  Papers are from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection and I jumped on the doily bandwagon and used a paper doily from the cake decorating section at Michaels (you get THIRTY doilies in a package for a few dollars---they are by Wilton and far more economical than the other doilies I'm seeing out there).

Supplies:
Stamps: All Things Considered Domestic Love by Cornish Heritage Farms
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black
Paper: October Afternoon
Accessories: Copic markers (shading), Wilton doily, buttons, Martha Stewart punch

For your chance to win a CHF stamp set of your choice (up to $16.99 value) create a card using a CHF All Things Considered set and upload it to the Summer Fling gallery.

Next stop is LISA's blog!

Hip Hop..it's the 12 Weeks of Summer Fling Thomas Kinkade week

Welcome to your last stop on week 2 of the Cornish Heritage Farms 12 Weeks of Summer Fling blog hop!  This week we are featuring Thomas Kinkade products which can be found for 25% until Thursday June 17th.  If you just happened to visit my blog today, head on over to the CHF Farm Fresh blog for more details and join in the fun for your chance to win a CHF Gift Certificate!

Even if you're not a colourer (if that's a word LOL!) many of the Kinkade stamps look amazing just stamped in coloured ink and made into projects.  For my project I used the Guardian Castle stamp and stamped it in Versafine Sepia ink onto a sheet of Basic Grey distressed paper.  Then I created a wedding themed card using papers and embellishments from the Basic Grey Capella line.

If you would like to see more of my Thomas Kinkade creations click here and don't forget to leave a comment on this post for your chance to win some CHF gift certificates.

Supplies:
Stamp:  Thomas Kinkade Guardian Castle by Cornish Heritage Farms, Mona Lisa Moments Wedding Centers by Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper:  Basic Grey Capella, Bazzill cardstock
Ink:  Versafine Sepia, Staz On Timber Brown
Accessories:  Basic Grey Capella chipboard stickers and die cut journalling box, Prima pearls, K and Co. pearl brads, Prima flowers

Finally, don't forget to create a card using a Thomas Kinkade stamp and upload it to the CHF special gallery for the week.  You will be eligible for the Design Team’s Favorite prize which will be a rubber stamp/stamp set of your choice up to the value of $16.99. The deadline for uploading cards for the prize is Thursday June 17th at midnight.

Miss you Much

I picked up some My Favorite Things Jolinne stamps from Scrappin' Great Deals a few weeks back and made this vintage-y look card  using my Kohinoor pencils and Gamesol to colour the image (instead of reaching for the Copics).

I forgot how quick and easy it is to color with the pencils.  All I did was apply the color around the outside edges of the image and blended with the Gamesol (odourless mineral spirits) and stumps.  I like the rustic type look I was able to achieve by not adding colour to the whole image.

Supplies:
Stamp:  My Favorite Things Jolinne Miss You Much
Ink:  Memento Brown
Papers:  Pink Paislee, Simply Smooth cardstock
Accessories:  Twill tape, Maya Road Pin, Martha Stewart punch, Kohinoor Pencils/Gamesol
