When life gives you wrinkles.....CHF Week #3 Summer Fling

Here's a card I created using the Domestic Love set.  This vintage inspired set has some wonderful vintage images and lots of pun-y sentiments.  Here I used the iron image with a sentiment about wrinkles---how perfect!  Papers are from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection and I jumped on the doily bandwagon and used a paper doily from the cake decorating section at Michaels (you get THIRTY doilies in a package for a few dollars---they are by Wilton and far more economical than the other doilies I'm seeing out there).

Even if you're not a colourer (if that's a word LOL!) many of the Kinkade stamps look amazing just stamped in coloured ink and made into projects.  For my project I used the Guardian Castle stamp and stamped it in Versafine Sepia ink onto a sheet of Basic Grey distressed paper.  Then I created a wedding themed card using papers and embellishments from the Basic Grey Capella line.

Miss you Much

I picked up some My Favorite Things Jolinne stamps from Scrappin' Great Deals a few weeks back and made this vintage-y look card  using my Kohinoor pencils and Gamesol to colour the image (instead of reaching for the Copics). 

I forgot how quick and easy it is to color with the pencils.  All I did was apply the color around the outside edges of the image and blended with the Gamesol (odourless mineral spirits) and stumps.  I like the rustic type look I was able to achieve by not adding colour to the whole image.

Sara England has "Emerged" with more new releases

There are three new Sara England "Emerging" image sets now available at Cornish Heritage Farms. 

Here's a quick and easy card I did using some Pink Paislee paper and the emerging crab set.

For this second card I used the emerging starfish stamp as well as a sentiment from the emerging shell set. 

For the background for this card I used the shell themed Spellbinders Impressabilities stencil and used some Delta Texture Paste.  If you would like more details on the technique I used to create this background, I created a tutorial on the CHF Creative Blog
