It's the Christmas Eve edition of FWF Friday (and last chance to win my giveaway!!)

Merry Christmas Eve!  Just a quick reminder that today is your last chance to comment on this previous post (click on link please) for your chance to win a set of Tim Holtz embossing folders and some stamps.

And now onto today's business.....FWF Friday.  Today I thought I'd share TWO shaped cards.  I LOVE to make shaped cards.  For both of these cards I used my Mom's Cricut machine for the shaped bases.  When I make shaped cards I try to keep them less than 5.5" square so they will fit into some of the standard envelopes I have in my collection.

Just a reminder you can find the list of today's participants later today on the Unity Blog.  Look for the Flair blinkie and leave a comment for your chance to win some Unity Stamps.

For the first card I used one of Unity's Itty Bitty stamps:

Supplies:
Stamps: Itty Bitty You're a Real Fun-gi by Unity Stamps
Papers: October Afternoon, Bazzill, Pink Paislee, Jillibean Soup
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: Cricut cartridge (Card), Fabric store trim, Cosmo Cricket mini letters, Copic markers

For this second card I created a paper pieced apple shape and if you look closely on the card base you will see that I stamped some apples onto the cardstock in red ink.  Then I added a tag with sentiment and some raffia to give it a rustic look.   All of the stamps are from Unity's fabulous Kits of the Month.

Supplies:
Stamps: Unity Stamps Kit Of The Month (apples-July, and sentiment-Sept).
Papers: Bazzill
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Barn Door Distress Ink
Accessories: K and Co journalling box, raffia, Cricut Friendly Critters cartridge

Last but not least......

Hello my friends!  You have one more day to comment on this post (click on link) to win some blog candy in celebration of my 600th blog post.

Today I'm sharing the final card (bottom right hand corner of photo) I created using the same patterned paper and quick/simple designs.  When you see all the cards together you can see how I used scraps from one card to create elements of the others.  For example on the snowman card I used a piece of the scrap embossed tan cardstock on the background of my winter scene.  As you can see with a few limited supplies, you really can create a number of unique looking cards!

One quick tip for today:  On the card in the bottom right corner I didn't have any brown bling swirls so I took some plain silver ones and coloured them with a brown Copic marker!

Sharing some Eskimo kisses :)

One more reminder that I have a giveaway going on until December 24th.

Here's another of the cards I created using the same sheet of patterned paper.  Again this card was designed to assemble in approximately 10 minutes.  To keep the colouring simple, I used only three shades of my Copic markers.  If you look closely at the bottom, I added a little texture to the simple layers using one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders.

I have one more card to share in the series later this week.

Supplies:
Stamps: Mo Manning Siku and Shiva by Stampavie
Ink:  Memento Rich Cocoa
Papers:  Prism Simply Smooth, Bazzill cardstock, Autumn Leaves patterned paper
Accessories:  Cuttlebug embossing folder, Making Memories snowflake and brad, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Cosmo Cricket rubon, Fiskars border punch, Copic markers

Friendship warms the heart

Just a reminder that I have a giveaway going on until December 24th.  Details can be found on this post.

Here's another winter-themed card I created using the same sheet of paper as my previous post.  This time I created a winter scene using one of my Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things.  I kept this card simple by doing monochrome colouring with my Copic markers---I think I only used about 4-5 colours on this one (note to self:  write down colours used for future cards LOL!).

Supplies:
Stamps: Pure Innocence Merry Kiss set from My Favorite Things
Papers: Autumn Leaves, Georgia Pacific cardstock, Coredinations cardstock
Ink: Memento
Accessories:  Cuttlebug embossing folder, Fiskars border punch, Maya Road trim, Copic markers

Baby it's cold outside!

First of all, a reminder that I have a giveaway going on until Christmas Eve.  Just leave a comment on the original post here for your chance to win a few stamps and some Tim Holtz embossing folders.

Now onto today's project.....Winter has finally arrived in my area and boy oh boy is it cold!!  So in keeping with the winter theme I thought I'd share a card I made using one of my Purple Onion Designs Noteblock stamps.  If you follow my blog the design might look a little familiar to you---well that's because the overall design is similar to this card that I posted.  With the size of the Noteblock stamps it is a bit challenging to come up with different layouts but switching up the papers does give the cards a different look.  The trims looked so good the first time I figured why change things LOL!

This is the first of four cards I created using the same sheet of patterned paper.  All of the cards were designed to be created in 10 minutes or less.  For this card I simply heat embossed the Noteblock image onto the patterned paper, trimmed it and mounted onto a scalloped rectangle.  I adhered it to a piece of the same paper and embellished with trims and a snowflake.  Stay tuned for the rest of the cards I made using the same papers.

Supplies:
Stamp:  Winter Noteblock from Purple Onion Designs
Ink:  Versamark (for heat embossing)
Papers:  Autumn Leaves, Georgia Pacific cardstock
Accessories:  Maya Road trim, fabric snowflake by Darice, twill ribbon, Spellbinders Nestabilities, wood button, embroidery floss, white embossing powder by Stampendous
