Think you have to colour?....think again.

It's no surprise that colouring stamped images (particularly with Copic markers) is *HOT* right now.  But have you thought about using your stamps plain without colouring the image?

A while back I was asked to make a bunch of simple cards (10 minutes or less) for a magazine feature so I decided to think outside the box and try using some stamped images that would normally be coloured.  I was pretty surprised with how good a card can look just using outlines.

For the first card I picked a piece of patterned paper with some floral details and stamped the image to the right of it in some dark brown ink.  The base of the card was embossed and sanded to give some more dimension.

For the second card, I stamped the image in red ink to coordinate with the patterned papers I selected.  I used a piece of distressed cardstock that came with the paper line rather than just plain cardstock.

So, don't be afraid to try new things, you never know what time saving things you might discover!!
