Birthday hopping with Your Next Stamp!

Hey everyone and welcome to Your Next Stamp's 2nd Birthday Blog Hop, we are so happy you are here celebrating with us and our wonderful guest designers! If you have just stumbled across my blog and want to join in all the fun and games you can go to the start at Peggy's blog.  If you have been hopping along and are arriving from Beth's blog then you are right on track!

What is a birthday party with out games and some AMAZING prizes? Well we have a fun little puzzle for you to solve along the hop and when you do you will be entered into the draw for one of TWO amazing YNS prizes!  Not everyone has a puzzle piece so you need to pay attention, and click on the puzzle pieces, and follow the directions as you find them along the way. [3rd party cookies must be enabled to do the puzzle] When you are done put them all together at the end of the hop for your chance to win!  You have until Monday, August 15th at Midnight EST.

There are also lots of amazing deals right now in the YNS store to celebrate and you don't need any code!  The next stop on the hop is Crystal's blog!  Good luck and happy hopping!

I have two cards to share with you today.  The first card uses the new August release called Yummy in the Tummy.  I was inspired by the sprinkles on the sundae and found some older Basic Grey sprinkle papers to use.  I added lots of sparkle to the card using some stickles and made a little flag out of some SRM stickers and a decorative pin.  I've seen this done a lot lately with toothpicks but I didn't have any on hand and thought the red pin would look good :)

The second card I'm sharing today is one I made using the World Kids "Asha" stamp.  I have to admit I have *never* coloured black hair or darker skin tones before so I was a bit terrified to give it a go.  I think she turned out pretty well for a first try---if I do say so myself.  I opted to use the traditional Indian celebration colours (red and gold/orange) on this card and used some punches and Spellbinder's dies that reminded me of Indian architecture.  I hope I did the culture justice for this card.

Supplies (Card 1):
Stamps:  Yummy in the Tummy from Your Next Stamp
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Papers:  Basic Grey, Neenah cardstock
Accessories:  Copic Markers, Stickles, Fiskars bracket edge border punch, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, Offray Ribbon, Devine Twine (sampler packs available in YNS store), decorative pin, SRM stickers

Supplies (Card 2):
Stamps:  Asha from India (World Kid's Collection) from Your Next Stamp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Pink Paislee, Neenah cardstock
Accessories:  May Arts ribbon, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, SRM Stickers, Prima pearl, Stickles, Fiskar's Bracket Edge punch

That card really wants to make me eat icecream - I wish I had some in the house (okay maybe I'm better off that it's not in the house lol). The DP is perfect.

Love the Asha card. You really did amazing for the black hair and skin - are you sure it was your first time!? :P It came out perfect. The Dp is also perfect - really goes well and def makes me think India type style.
