Wishing you a Splishy Splashy good day!

Hello!  Welcome to the June Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop.  We have soooo many adorable new stamps and dies to share with you, and they are available TODAY in the Your Next Stamp Store. We are hanging out on the farm and heading to the beach with this release and the images could not be any cuter.  We also have several coordinating dies to go with these sweet images, and the inspirational projects along this hop are going to blow you away!

There is a full link list of today's blog hop participants at the bottom of my post.  You have until Monday, June 24th at 12am (EST) to leave  comments on all of the DT Blogs for your chance to win this fabulous prize pack!

For my project today I have created a shaker card with the ever so cute new Madison stamp.  My Mom recently cut me out a bunch of fun shaped card bases on her Cricut machine.  When I saw this one I immediately thought to use it as a shaker card.  I stamped my image onto some white cardstock and coloured it before adhering it to the back of my window (covered in transparency) with some foam tape.

Stamps: Madison stamp set from Your Next Stamp
YNS Dies:  Fishtail Banner from Your Next Stamp
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Papers:  Core-dinations cardstock, Neenah cardstock
Accessories:  Faux Snow (tinted blue with Ranger ink daubler), Prima flowers, Prima pearl, Stickles, Copic Markers, Glossy Accents, transparency, card base (cut on Cricut)

Here's a closer look at my project.  If you look very closely you will notice that I added some Glossy accents to the life preserver and water parts of the image.  For the filler of my shaker card I used some Faux Snow and tinted it blue.  I put the Faux Snow into a ziplock baggie and added a few drops of Ranger Distress Stain from the dauber.  I wasn't sure how it would work but it turned out amazing!

As always, Karen has some amazing Hop Specials that you should definitely take advantage of!

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy hopping and shopping!

Happy Beach-Day!

Hello and Happy Friday!  It's time for another Your Next Stamp Fun Friday challenge.   In case you missed the announcement, the Your Next Stamp challenge blog is back and we have a great sketch/inspiration challenge for you each month.  You have all month to play along and Karen is offering up a prize AND a chance to be a Guest Designer!!  Pop on over to the YNS Challenge blog to see this month's challenge and how you can play along to win.

So my card today was based on this month's sketch.  I have a little sneak peek at one of the new June release stamps for Austin.  He's all ready for some summer fun!  I stepped outside my comfort zone when colouring his skin and gave him a lovely tan.  I'm actually quite pleased how he turned out and I'll have to start using different skin tones again soon.  Behind my image you'll see a fancy orange frame.   That is also one of the new dies releasing tomorrow.

Thanks so much for stopping by and come on back tomorrow to see more more June releases and to join us on the new release blog hop!

Hello, Bonjour, Hallo, Aloha, Ciao, Hola!

Hello!  Today I have a card to share with you using one of my favourite lines of stamps from Purple Onion Designs.  In fact, the Noteblock stamps were the ones that originally guided me to this fabulous company and I pull them out often for simple cards.

For my card I stamped the Hello Noteblock onto some Basic Grey multitoned paper (in Adirondack ink) and then heat embossed with some clear glitter embossing powder.  I matted it onto a scalloped rectangle and then adhered to my circular card base.  I made the flower embellishment by fussy cutting the design out of one of the old old old lines of Basic Grey paper and just added a twill bow to finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you liked seeing a few of my "vintage" papers from decades ago in action!

Stamps:  Hello Noteblock from Purple Onion Designs
Ink:  Adirondack brown
Papers:  Basic Grey, Coredinations cardstock
Accessories:  Twill Ribbon, clear glitter embossing powder, Spellbinder's scalloped edge die, card base cut on Cricut, Cuttlebug embossing folder
