I have a ton of projects to share with you that I created a while ago but just haven't found the time to blog. So here we go......
Here are a few projects I did using my Purple Onion Designs stamps. By the way, if you haven't stopped by the store lately, Michele did a web site makeover and it looks fabulous! I am now able to link you directly to the POD sets!
First up is a heat embossed card I made on some kraft paper. I heat embossed my flower image in white embossing ink and then coloured with my Copics. When you are colouring on kraft paper with Copic market you get all kinds of neat variations in colours. I find the darker tones work best but the lighter colours give a water coloured look. The design of the card is quite simple with the image taking center stage and I added some distress ink around the panel to give it some dimension.
Stamps: Stephanie Ackerman Bouquet and Containers set from Purple Onion Designs, SA Doodle Frame Flower set from Purple Onion Designs
Ink: Versamark (for heat embossing), brown distress ink
Papers: Gina K kraft cardstock, My Mind's Eye papers
Accessories: WOW! white embossing powder, Copic Markers, Mama Elephant die cuts
Next up is a masculine card I did using one of my favourite Stacey Yacula stamps, Cedar the Fox. Even though our friend Cedar is a winter themed stamp, I find he can work for any occasion depending on how you colour him. I did a birthday card for my Godson using some older Basic Grey papers. The background was embossed in a chevron themed to add some dimension. Sorry but this photo is a tad blurry. I was in a hurry to get a photo before stuffing it in an envelope for the party LOL!
Stamps: Cedar the Fox from Purple Onion Designs, SA Doodleframe Cupcake set (sentiment) from Purple Onion Designs
Ink: Brown Distress Ink, Memento Tuxedo black
Papers: Basic Grey, Neenah white cardstock
Accessories: Spellbinder's die, white gel pen, Copic Markers, Darice embossing folder
